A podcast for artists + creative entrepreneurs where Pascale Cote, coach at @dearcreativemind, shares grounding meditations, coaching guidance and heartfelt conversations with inspiring artists. Creative minds are magical and unique because they are constantly making things. The problem is, creative minds tend to spend just as much time making self-limiting narratives as they do making art. Let's talk about it.

[conversation] Expressing our truest creative self with Susan

Today, I'm chatting with Susan Victoria Becher, (a lovely former client of mine!) who is a poet, writer, singer/songwriter, and overall creative being. She enjoys broadening her skillset by trying new things and encouraging others to do the same. She is publishing her YA novel entitled 'Penn and Ava' this summer, with a publishing date set for July 23rd. She is also in the process of writing and recording an album. And she is currently in graduate school to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and plans to graduate in December of 2025.

During our conversation, we explore the creative process of publishing a book and recording an album, chat about the healing power of art, dive into the courage of making big life changes and finding communities that truly support us, and discuss small steps to navigate the vulnerable process of sharing our art with the world.

Susan is currently running a crowdfunding campaign to support the publishing of her YA novel. Let's share and support her: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/penn-ava-help-me-publish-my-ya-novel#/

[invitation] Build momentum on your project, in community

[invitation] Build momentum on your project, in community

This is an official invitation to join us for Devotion, a 5-week series of community gatherings where we come together to create space for a project that’s been sitting on the shelves of our creative mind. Some of us will dedicate time to finishing existing projects or starting on new ones, while others will take the opportunity to explore something new or reconnect with a creative practice, all with the support of each other.

Together, we'll embrace the messy drafts, the works in progress, and the creative detours. No deadlines, no judgments— just a supportive environment where you can build momentum + make progress on your project at your own pace.

The next series begin on April 25th, and I would love to see you there! Sessions will be recorded if you cannot attend live.

[conversation] Honour your creative nature + find your own pace with Julie

Today, I'm chatting with Julie Villain, a former client of mine and a creative soul with a sensitive heart, working as a website designer at studio folha.

During our conversation, we explore the recent rebirth she went through when she relaunched her creative business at the end of 2023 and what she has learned through the process, and how she juggles the more practical side of owning a business and the emotional side of being a creative human.

We also explore the introspective and profound experience of undergoing the website design process for your creative work. As you build this practical tool for your business, you're also constructing a home for your work, making it a beautiful journey of self-discovery.

Julie is dedicated to supporting conscious business owners and creative solopreneurs in crafting intentional websites that will give them the confidence to share their work, genuinely connect with their audience, and enjoy the freedom of growing their business their own way.

Julie passionately believes in the transformative power of your ideas to shape a better future for all and sees design as a potent tool for change. She likes to envision studio folha as a playground where she can use her creative vision to serve your unique expression and help your business thrive online.

[conversation] An empowering creative + business rebirth with Kat

[conversation] An empowering creative + business rebirth with Kat

Today, I'm chatting with brand designer + strategist (and former client of mine!) Kat Fletcher from Crafted Wild. We delve into her recent creative rebirth, discussing the process of building a business that allows space for your truest self and humanity. We explore how entrepreneurship can serve as an insightful mirror into our personal lives, as it is often intertwined with our self-healing journey.

Kat generously shares beautiful images that illustrate the process of branding your business in a way that aligns with who you are. She also provides a few excellent resources and offers beautiful reminders for us all. Kat built her business intuitively while traveling, and she believes that we are inherently crafted wild. However, along the way, societal norms and expectations cause us to lose some of our wildness. She is on a mission to help women create a business and a life that makes them feel alive and empowered.

[conversation] Finding creative flow in a capitalist society with Isabel

[conversation] Finding creative flow in a capitalist society with Isabel

Today, I'm chatting with Isabel Bagsik (she/her), a Filipina American who is a former Art Director turned Creative Wellness Guide. Isabel is crafting heart-led experiences and projects at the intersection of creativity and wellness. She is here to guide creatives towards remembering their creative gifts from a place of rest and ease.

During our conversation, we chat about the resistance we feel towards rest, how white capitalist ideals need you to believe your creativity should "just be a hobby" or "isn't worthy if it's not productive" and how to rewrite this narrative. Isabel shares beautiful reminders and thoughtful invitations throughout our conversation, and I'm excited for you to listen to it.

The Podcast I’ve Been Looking For

I’ve been a full-time creative since I was a Junior in college and never struggled with creativity, and rarely struggled with confidence in my business. I was a wedding photographer pre-covid, and when the pandemic hit my business was, literally, flipped upside down. I didn’t like what I was doing or the work i was creating anymore, and I also wasn’t surrounded by my creative friends anymore to get inspiration and support from. I stopped shooting weddings but I don’t know what I want to put my creative energy into next, and this podcast has been very comforting in this stage of unknown. Pascale has such a way with words and relating her teachings to everyone’s life, and the topics are so specific it’s like she pulled them from my brain (which makes me know I’m not alone with my struggles). I just found this podcast this week and I have loved the episodes I’ve listened to so far 🤍

Deeply aligning and supportive for conscious entrepreneurs

Pascale has a magical way of tapping into something deeply rooted and without words. She guides you through uprooting conditioned systems of thinking and how to compassionately question them.

There are so many episodes that struck a deep chord and have supported my evolution into a more self aware business owner.

It’s a perfect balance of mindfulness and conscious business practice. I recommend this podcast to any creative business owner looking to create a business that is aligned and resourced within. ✨

This podcast is like therapy for creatives!

As a recovering perfectionist and creative entrepreneur, I feel like this podcast was created just for me! I appreciate Pascale’s honest conversations and thought-provoking questions. Each episode leaves me feeling motivated, nourished, and inspired.
