Demetrius Walker joins the podcast! He is the Director of the North Houston Economic Development Center at Lone Star College. A published author, professional keynote speaker, entrepreneur, music producer, and DJ. A graduate from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Economics, Demetrius talks about his passion for sustainable economic development and entrepreneurship. He delves into his experience co-founding and owning a clothing company called Dangerous Negro (DangerousNegro.com (dangerousnegro.com)) and later how that association led to him and his business partners creating a record label under the same name to produce Rhymefest (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhymefest)'s 2010 album "El Che". Demetrius' autobiography titled "I Am A Black Man: The Evolution of a Dangerous Negro (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0999023608?pf_rd_p=c2945051-950f-485c-b4df-15aac5223b10&pf_rd_r=RENDKS53887CQ9B3SEH5)" was released in 2017 and is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
