Lately guest interrupted often

I have been a long time listener and think there is really amazing, life changing things here. However, I feel lately the episodes are losing their down to earth, impact-fulness and are very awkward to listen to; guests are interrupted, talked over in many moments and Kathy will jump in, almost hyper, and explain things for them and I don’t understand why to bring such amazing people on and not authentically listen to them. Definitely not beyond saving and would love to just hear what guest have to say because there are great things here being talked about!

Mixed Feelings

I really loved this podcast in the beginning. It was inspiring and gave me practical advice, and actual steps the guests took to achieve their goals. I used to listen religiously, but I lost interest in the newest episodes. While I always thought Cathy’s interruptions were annoying, I could look past that. What I can’t look past are the 15 minute introductions of Cathy plugging her events, her book, her sponsors, etc. Take the advice of one of your guests “Stop chasing money, because it runs fast. Help others and the money will come.” If you continue to do what you were doing in the beginning, which was truly helping people, your listeners will buy your book or go see you speak without you begging them to. We will support you without you spending 15 minutes before each interview talking about the things you are doing outside of the podcast. Saying “pre-ordering my book will help me get to #1, which will allow me to help more of you” is so transparent I decided to unsubscribe.

A truly motivating inspirational podcast

I have been a writer of unfinished manuscripts, a finisher of one novel, a part time photographer for almost 15 years. In between raising kids and many day jobs, I have been drawn to books and now podcasts to keep me going. Not since Sue Bryce, or the book The Artist way by Julia Cameron, has anyone helped me truly think of my self as a worthy artist. Beyond that, the practical steps that Cathy and her guests place in your path allow to grow without sabotaging yourself. Her biggest gift is her empathy and ability to blast your psyche with self confidence, which leads to to believe not only can you do it, but you will. Thank you Cathy! for creating this community. I know I will meet you someday at a workshop and I am so looking forward to it.
