Video Strategy for Video Professionals with Ben Amos and Simon Banks
This episode of the Engage Video Marketing Podcast is a bit out of the ordinary, as recently I was interviewed by my friend and fellow video strategist over in the UK, Simon Banks. It was such a good chat that I wanted to bring it here to the Engage Video Marketing Podcast for you.
Where Should I Host My Business Videos with Ben Amos
In this episode of the Engage Video Marketing Podcast, I'm going to break down for you one of the most common questions that I get when delivering completed video content to our clients. And this question is around, how are we going to actually host the videos so that we can embed them in the right places on our website? For many businesses, they immediately think of YouTube, right? But YouTube is not always the best option. So in today's episode, I'm going to break this common question down.
Generating Inbound Leads with Video with Chris van Praag
In his book Endless Referrals, author Bob Burg wrote... “All things being equal, people do business with, and refer business to people they know, like and trust.” Now, sure Bob might never have heard of the term Inbound Marketing, a phrase coined much later by Sales and Automation Company Hubspot but it’s this concept that is at the heart of what I believe fuels good marketing and business today.
So what role does video play in building the know, like and trust factor in marketing… and how can business owners generate Inbound leads using video? We explore this, and more in today’s interview.
Chris van Praag is a sales consultant for top global HubSpot partner BabelQuest. He uses the power of video to build a personal brand, grow his network and generate a steady flow of inbound leads with creative content that gets people talking.
As a creative person, Chris loves blending his role with fun creative ideas to sell, validate his knowledge and demonstrate his personality. As a result, he had some amazing opportunities (this conversation being one of them) to make connections, build his brand and open up conversations.

This is Gold!
This is like going to video marketing school for free! Seriously, I’m so thankful for this resource. As I was listening to episode 189, and I heard Guy and Ben share frustrations of seeing businesses kill a good video campaign with bad placement or forced creative. I’ve been screaming about this too. Sooo, frustrating!!
I’ve made hundreds of TV ads and corporate videos, played with creating online content and I’m now ready to ramp my new business up (Digital Film Farm), so I’m bingeing these episodes and visiting the websites of Ben’s guests. I’m actually devoting a week to selective listening and taking notes. I’m about to launch my new website and will be adding a lot of content. I’m taking on fewer clients while adding strategy and Facebook Ad management services. Thanks Ben. Hope to be a success story guest someday. Keep up the good work!
With the state of the world today video is VITAL. Ben is sure to express but also educates on how and why to use it.
I own a small business and recently started to get into video marketing, encouraged by reading books by Marcus Sheridan. The Engage Video Marketing Podcast has been great for me to get better with video and how to be more strategic how to use it. Not every episode is as pertinent to my situation, but there is so much knowledge here that I am really thankful that I stumbled upon this podcast!
