Our guest, Scott Herbowy PT, OCS, Dip. MDT is a physical therapist with 40 years of experience in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), also known as the McKenzie Method. He began training personally with Robin McKenzie in 1984 and continued this direct mentorship until 1992. In 1993, Scott was appointed as a McKenzie Institute instructor and has since taught over 500 continuing education courses in MDT. He has served as senior faculty for the U.S. branch since 2000, where his responsibilities include mentoring new faculty, developing advanced education programs, and presenting at numerous conferences. Scott was also one of the first instructors for the Institute's inaugural stand-alone extremity courses in 2001. In addition, he has contributed to research on the McKenzie Method and helped develop and mentor therapists in the McKenzie Diploma Program, the highest level of training in MDT, for 15 years at the personal request of Robin McKenzie. Currently, Scott has again returned to private practice and recently achieved recognition of Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) by the American Physical Therapy Association
