Bodkin
It’s a podcast talking about a show about a podcast. It’s podcastception.
I’m pretty sure I’ve made that joke about some other dumb show we’ve watched but this is all the brainspace I have left for today, okay? Don’t judge me. -
A Man in Full
I know what you’re thinking and yes, I did pick this week’s episode based on the fact that it was under 45 minutes long and no one has time for anything longer. And, YES, I regret it yet again.

Baby Reindeer
I’ve never been more sure of the folly of my show-picking strategy as I have been after watching this show. But come on, who has more than 30 minutes a week for this?

Conan Must Go
Unsure if you need more Conan in your life? What if I told you he does a guest track on a Norwegian rap group’s single, mostly in falsetto? Still not sold? I’m not sure what else to tell you.
Also, call to action this week. In order for this to succeed, we need your help. -
Fallout
We back. And we are checking out Amazon Prime’s latest attempt to scrape the barrel of existing IP and mining for gold. Do they succeed? Only one way to find out!
Customer Reviews
Blackmail or not, it's still a great podcast
I’ve been a loyal listener of the Episode One podcast since these guys first got started. I’ve enjoyed the humorous banter and subtle tension as Michael’s whimsical thought experiments drive Eric one step closer to insanity with each episode. The contrast between their eccentric and dry personalities provides a well-balanced perspective as they review the first episode of the hottest streaming TV shows.
That said, these two schmucks are trying to blackmail me to get more reviews for their podcast. I would be offended if the podcast weren’t so good. So I guess it’s still worth a listen – you might just not want to hang out with these dudes and accidentally break their fingers.
Schmigadoon
This was the first of their podcast that I have listened to. Their review of the show was done in total ignorance of musicals. Not reference Oklahoma, or Carousel, or the Music Man, showed the measure of cluelessness that makes me feel as if listening to any of their other podcasts would be equally frustrating as listening to this one. I guess they’re not familiar with satire. As they seem to be judging shows by the first episode, I feel good in doing this. I was generous with the two stars.
Don’t Bother
I listened to their review of “Jack Whitehall: Travels with my Father”. Both guys were dreadful. They immediately complained that the show reeked of white privilege. If they had done two minutes of research they would’ve known that Michael Whitehall became wealthy spending 45 years as a theatrical agent before becoming a producer late in life. They then went to whether or not it was racist, then drifted into an irrelevant rant about Prince Philip, of whom one of them had no clue who he was. There are many good serious scenes in the series, particularly their visit to Angkor Wat and the Khmer Rouge Killing Fields. Michael’s initial prejudices are overcome by his experiences in Asia which is much of the point of overseas travel. I found the show interested, humorous and touching. The podcast is simply time-wasting drivel.
