Evidence Based Birth®

In the Evidence Based Birth® podcast, we cover the research evidence on hot topics about pregnancy and childbirth! Our mission is to help birth workers build the evidence based knowledge, skills, and power they need to protect families' ability to give birth with empowerment. The work we do has a huge impact on parents who are searching for accurate information to empower their prenatal, birth, and postpartum experiences!

Very helpful

I have been a birth doula since 2011, and a childbirth educator since 2013. Evidence Based Birth is my first choice for the latest research and for thorough and unbiased assessment.
We’re not “birthing people”.
Mar 7
This podcast has good information, but please stop saying “birthing people”… we’re called “women”. The irony of it too is talking about a “birthing person” on an episode about vaginal births instead of c-sections when the people with vaginas, to have a “vaginal birth”, are in fact biological women.
“WOMEN”

We are WOMEN!!! NOT “birthing people!!!!!!!!”
“Evidence Based” What a joke.
Feb 3
You might share great information on birth but it’s pretty hard to take you seriously when you use the idiotic term “birthing person”. Please explain how that is evidence based. Affirming mental illness at the expense of dehumanizing the majority of WOMEN is completely asinine. You all should be embarrassed.
An excellent resource

As an educator serving mostly families planning to give birth in a variety of hospital settings, I love being able to offer EBB as a resource for my students. It can be dangerous and unfair to families to neglect the evidence and the wider view of birth practices in the local area, the country, and even the world and only discuss the practices and policies they are most likely to encounter in their facility. EBB gives educators and providers this kind of information as well so we can empower families to know their options and ask questions.
Great information!

Thank you for this podcast! I have learned so much and I recommend it to everyone who is expecting!
Pregnant person?
11/21/2024
Seriously? It’s pregnant woman. Women get pregnant. As a WOMAN it is so hard to listen to this “inclusive language”. It’s disgusting that you pander to people who don’t even know their own sex/gender. They have a mental disorder and you are not helping them, you are hurting them, who aren’t the majority, along with the rest of us, who are ACTUALLY WOMEN. I had hope for this podcast since it was EVIDENCE BASED. But it’s clear you don’t follow any evidence in the basic form. I’d give negative stars if I could.
Stop hating men
10/15/2024
To rename a feedback loop because it was named after the male scientist who discovered it is unscientific and arbitrary. I agree with the women who find "Evidence Based Birth" ironic when the entire organization overlooks basic biology and cares more about being woke than factual.
