Thank you for bringing awareness of the drug epidemic that’s currently going on. To add, I enjoyed this episode because I just recently left a relationship where my significant other at the time was struggling with addiction. It was emotional draining at times but I got through it. Currently at the moment he’s in rehab working on his recovery. Nevertheless, Stanley definitely hit the nail on the head when he stated that sometimes ppl who use tend to put themselves in situations where they’re around other addicts and away from the ppl that love & care for them; and like he said it’s a poor escape. I honestly believe that the number 1 reason ppl use is poor upbringing(lack of discipline & manners& responsibility ), lack of support and love from family members or friends and UNRESOLVED TRAUMA. Therapy definitely is the answer to resolve all deep rooted issues and like you said PURPOSE ; we must ask ourselves what is our purpose and once we figure that out we realize the goal is way much bigger than that & us. Unfortunately some ppl don’t know what their purpose is and I hope ppl learn or get an idea from listening to this episode because I definitely did.
