Hear Myself Think is a participatory audio-theatre series inviting you to undertake 10 simple activities in the company of 10 different characters, as they tidy, talk, sketch and walk alongside you.

Developed with guidance from mental health advisors, Hear Myself Think offers bitesize opportunities for active engagement with your own wellbeing.

The series was created in partnership with Streatham Space Project & supported using public funds by Arts Council England.

    S2E1 Ground yourself with Eva

    S2E1 Ground yourself with Eva

    Join Eva in exploring practical grounding techniques, after she removes herself temporarily from a stressful situation. While attempting to regulate her emotions, Eva pauses to reflect on her relationships, and the tools she has at her disposal to manage her anxiety in the moment.

    If, like Eva, you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, small actions such as removing yourself temporarily from stressful situations, slowly regulating your breath, and using touch to anchor yourself in the present can help.     Join Callum in rehydrating as he wakes up hungover after another big night out. While taking gentle steps to recover from his immediate symptoms, Callum considers the impact his current cycle of behaviour may have in the long term, and the power he has in setting boundaries.

    Join Bisi in making a stir fry as she attempts to recover from the demoralising experience of ableism. As she seeks solace from the social structures that disenfranchise people with disabilities, Bisi explores how we identify the difference between a suggestion and a demand.
