We need more of this!

Open discussion about God and His plan for us as men is lost in today’s world. Too often we are forced to be quiet so we don’t offend somebody but God doesn’t tell us to function that way. Instead he says in Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” If we sit silently on the sidelines we can’t sharpen one another. One piece of iron doesn’t just sit next to the other one to sharpen it, they have to be put together and they hone one another and refine the edges. That requires us to speak up and we can do that in a respectful way and if somebody disagrees that is fine but too often people just say “I’m offended” and then it’s this big blown up thing. I disagree with things that are said about me and to me multiple times per day but I don’t run around saying “I’m offended”instead I just move along and continue my day. Time to quit worrying so much about offending someone and instead worry more about doing the right thing. Great show!

The Right Mindset

I was sent this podcast by a friend just to listen to the talk about drawing an elk tag and ended up staying on it for 6 months. It’s a great short listen for staying focused on what’s important and it often challenges you to keep your mind in the right place.

The episode on “using your talents” spoke directly to me at a time when I was on the fence about going for a promotion or staying in a position I was happy with. Believe it or not, that 15 minutes was what I needed to push myself over the edge, and out of my comfort zone. I challenged myself to get better and keep using the talents God gave me. Got the job and still pushing myself to be better at it each day. Not saying this podcast did all that, but it sure didn’t hurt to know that there are other like-minded people thinking about the same things you are.

Thank you!

I had a conversation with Colin yesterday over the phone. This morning I listened to his Intimacy in marriage episode with his wife, Wendy. I hear Colin’s same convictions being communicated in this podcast as I did in a private conversation with him. A man of integrity making a difference! Thank you for this episode, as I will be sharing with my wife soon. I look forward to hearing more episodes on this podcast and drawing strength from them. God bless👊🏼
