That September, over 23 million people turned in to the season finale as Kelly Clarkson was crowned our first American Idol. But after 22 seasons, today's Idol's viewership pales by comparison. The most recent February 2024 premiere clocked in with just 4 million viewers. And despite many reboots, network changes and rotating judges, the most recent winners have failed to make their mark. JNCOs: Size Matters
This week we're reviewing ultra wide legs jeans that were all the rage in the 90's: JNCOs. Beloved by skaters, surfers and ravers, JNCOs were very wide, very cool and very much counter culture. And at the company's peak in 1998, they boasted a whopping $186.9 million in sales! But by 2001 their parent company was forced to close their massive LA factory due to declining sales. So we're diving into JNCO's history and then as usual we each pitch how we'd fix the brand for today.
