In a nation that often seems determined to ignore political history (our own and abroad), Dr. Johnson keeps a global pulse on the resurgence of the far right and its diabolical ambitions. We are lucky to have him keeping us informed so that we can know how serious it is and where the leverage points might be. A critical tool for resistance in a time of unraveling.

In your last episode you mentioned how over the last few weeks it has been particularly difficult to put out an episode— people need to have the historical context to understand our current moment and your commentary and insight is deeply valuable. Take as much time as you need, and please keep it coming. As Dr. Craig Johnson states in the show’s byline, this is a sadly topical podcast. I encourage everyone to invest just 15 minutes each week to tune in. We’re all busy trying to live our lives, get kids to soccer practice, and save for retirement. It’s understandable to roll your eyes and dismiss this as hyperbole - “oh, more Chicken Little nonsense.” Well, if not for yourself, then for your children, take a few minutes each week and then make your own conclusions regarding the urgency of a terrifying existential threat. Plus, while the content may not be pleasant, Dr. Johnson does make it a fascinating listen which will never bore you.
