    #36 Yoga and Faith: A Heart-to-Heart Conversation

    #36 Yoga and Faith: A Heart-to-Heart Conversation

Maria and I joined the UK Les Mills team back in 2000, her for BODYCOMBAT and myself for BODYBALANCE. Maria’s had an amazing adventure over the last three decades in the fitness industry, living in the UK, Spain, the Netherlands and now in the USA. I remember us having conversations about Yoga and faith and eventually, in 2001, she started her Yoga journey as a Yoga Teacher and then as a Yoga Therapist.

#34 Wendy MacGibbon and the role Group Fitness has as a Service

#34 Wendy MacGibbon and the role Group Fitness has as a Service

Wendy MacGibbon is ERYT Yoga Alliance, Les Mills (BB, Trip), and PMA Pilates Instructor. She has been teaching yoga in the Northern California Foothills since 2004. She is bhakti trained, and believes that Service is why we are called to the mat, and into our communities. She specializes in Slow Flow, Yin, Flow, Kirtan, and Yoga Nidra. Om lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu.

    My key takeaways are:
Aging is a benefit and a positive quality.
Acceptance of what fills you up and have clear boundaries own your worth.
It's OK that your personal practice and teaching evolves and shifts with time.
If you don’t know your why over time, the industry is not sustainable.
We need to find a different approach. Teach what you need to learn. Practice for your students.
You can find Wendy on Instagram
