Girl Boss Red Flags Podcast with Erin Billings and Tay Francis
Have you ever fallen prey to an online business scam or are you an online business owner that is actively working against the unethical practices in the industry? Hosted by Erin Billings and Tay Francis, Girl Boss Red Flags is a podcast series dedicated to calling out the red flags in the online business world. After their own traumatic experiences of being scammed, Erin and Tay are on a mission to raise awareness about shady practices in the unregulated online marketplace. In each episode, you’ll hear jaw-dropping stories from real survivors who lost thousands to so-called #girlbosses in the coaching, publishing, and media industries. You’ll learn what red flags—and green flags—to look out for when hiring a coach, consultant or service provider. You’ll hear from experts who will unpack gaslighting, love-bombing, narcissism, and other harmful behaviors in the online business space. And you’ll get tangible advice about who to trust with your money online. Disclaimer: This is not a takedown of the online business or coaching industries; Erin and Tay are online service providers who are committed to helping the industry do better for consumers. By tuning in, you’ll learn to recognize if you’ve fallen prey to a scam, begin to heal from the heartbreak of being scammed and take off the rose-colored glasses so you can see the red flags for what they are before it’s too late. As a fellow victim of a Girl boss, this is a must!

I actually am a former employer of a Girl boss and was part of the same experience as Erin Billings. We both dealt with the trauma of being taken advantage of and I am still dealing with repercussions to this day! Even thinking of my situation right now is triggering. I was used and sold a dream by a great storyteller. I think it’s EXTREMELY important for people to learn the signs of potentially being in a situation with dishonest employers. This podcast is important because, at the end of the day, people need to be able to catch the signs and warnings before it gets too far and they’re in a hole like we were.
Some questionable guests

Love the premise, but some of the guests are clearly selling their own programs even as they complain about the industry—and in some cases are known as unethical themselves! Also, if a source plays up her PhD, it would be nice to know what subject that PhD is in. In the case of Lee Cordell, I can’t even find it on her site. Would just like more due diligence and homework from the hosts.
Good Until

There are a few great episodes here, until they interviewed one of the worst offenders in the industry. Not so sure now but maybe future episodes will be better and their vetting skills will improve.
