John Mackey is a mission-driven entrepreneur and co-founder of Whole Foods Market. In his 44 years as CEO, Whole Foods grew from one store in Austin to 540 stores in the United States, the U.K. and Canada with annual sales exceeding $22 billion and more than 105,000 team members.
John’s vision inspired the Whole Planet Foundation, Local Producer Loan Program, the Global Animal Partnership’s rating scale, and the Total Health Immersion program to promote wellness with company team members.
Mackey co-founded the “Conscious Capitalism” movement and co-authored a New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling book: “Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business. John also authored In “Conscious Leadership: Elevating Humanity through Business,” which provides a roadmap for innovative, values-based leadership.
Steve Amos is a social entrepreneur with 35+ years in technology, US/Global marketing, advertising, education, healthcare, and nonprofits. Founder/CEO of the nonprofit HealthCode, whose mission is to empower people to live healthier, happier lives free from preventable chronic disease.
