CHARLOTTE MASON FOR BEGINNERS
CHARLOTTE MASON FOR BEGINNERS// Education in American schools has failed our children, families, communities and our nation. The hopes of leaving “no child” behind has left all children bored and listless. We find that instead of cultivating our nation’s children to reach their full potential, our schools are stamping out generations who can’t think for themselves and wait to be told what to do by experts and social media influencers who are no more enlightened than they. In this video, I am sharing the ideas from an educator who lived a little over 100 years ago: Charlotte Mason. She applied classic principles for educating children that can be applied to every generation. Her commonsense approach should not be ignored in our tech-savvy world. In fact, we need to move back to the fundamentals of what it is to be human, what we believe a true education embodies and to raise the standard for ourselves and our children so that we will flourish.
