How to get the most out of your practice with Nataraj Chaitanya Warrior One Yoga

    • Health & Fitness

How we approach any situation dictates what we get out of the experience of life. The same is true for the practice of yoga.

In this episode, Nova sits down with Nataraj, one of our incredible yoga teachers at the Mornington Studio, to talk about how to get more out of your yoga practice from a philosophical point of view.

Nataraj shares his insights on breath and awareness, and the process of walking your awareness out of your head and into the felt experience of your body. Our thinking is what takes us out of presence. When we learn to sit in our feelings; physical, mental and emotional, we surrender to the alchemical process to discover bliss and clarity.

Our breath is a vehicle for consciousness and Nataraj describes how ushering in the breath to places of tension, fear and frustration is one of the most practical ways you can embody yoga philosophy.

During this conversation, Nataraj shares two insightful questions to ask yourself next time you’re on the mat to help you deepen your awareness and surrender to the process. He talks about approaching each situation with a sense of curiosity, compassion and love, working with breath and awareness to continue to orient towards Ananda, the bliss clarity.
