MEET USOLMT For three years USOLMT has been a strong advocate for massage therapists and the massage profession. We think you should be far more supported than you are today. If you think so too, you've come to the right place. We fill the gaps that other associations leave open.

We are a registered Arizona Nonprofit Corporation with a national membership base covering 22 states including Puerto Rico, and an international following of supporters.

Employers that join on an annual membership receive free memberships for their entire staff. Members receive direct and professional advocacy, service, and support that they can't get anywhere else. We support solo practitioners by providing free business building resources and client education materials. Student memberships are free + first year with the goal of giving students a head start on getting involved and becoming advocates for our profession.

Our free resources are available to educators for use in the classroom. Massage Therapy Schools receive free membership when they work with USOLMT to extend their student's benefits and provide early advocacy education.

We thrive on collaboration, offering free memberships and benefits to CE providers who offer a discount or free course to our members, and vendor partners who offer member discounts. Members receive a low monthly or annual price, additional coverage options, and may add their workplace, landlord, event locations and more unlimited and at no additional charge. Laura Allen is the President of Sales & Marketing at CryoDerm, a family-owned company that makes plant-based Pain Relief and Therapeutic Massage products.  A graduate of Shaw University and The Whole You School of Massage Therapy, Allen began her study of bodywork in 1993, and has been a licensed massage therapist since 1999. She has been an Approved Provider of Continuing Education under the NCBTMB since 2000, offering classes in professional ethics, research literacy, business and marketing.

Allen is the author of numerous books, including Advanced Strategies in Massage Therapy Education: A Step-by-Step Guide for Instructors co-authored with Dorel Lacatus, Nina McIntosh’s The Educated Heart 5th ed, Plain & Simple Guide to Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Examinations 4th ed, One Year to a Successful Massage Therapy Practice 2nd ed, A Holistic Practitioner’s Guide to Business, and many others. Her regular ethics column, Heart of Bodywork, appears in Massage & Bodywork Magazine.  


Early in her career, Allen received a Community Service Grant from the American Massage Therapy Association for her work with people in comas and persistent vegetative states. Allen is a 2011 inductee into the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame.
