    Exciting News!

    Exciting News!

We are back with a bonus episode to share some exciting news. Season 2 of Endometriosis Unplugged will be back in March 2024 with more episodes and stories.

iCareBetter is also announcing the opening of long-term care centers for those suffering from endometriosis to provide ancillary services with a focus on those with endometriosis and pelvic pain.

Long-term care centers for endometriosis can be crucial because endometriosis is a chronic condition that requires ongoing management and support. Here's why such centers are necessary:

Specialized Care: Endometriosis requires specialized care from healthcare providers who understand the complexity of the condition. Long-term care centers can offer a multidisciplinary approach involving gynecologists, pain specialists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals who specialize in managing endometriosis.

Comprehensive Treatment: Endometriosis often requires a combination of treatments, including medication, hormonal therapy, pain management strategies, and sometimes surgery. Long-term care centers can provide comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patients' needs, ensuring that they receive the most effective care over time.

Management of Symptoms: Endometriosis symptoms can vary widely among individuals and may change over time. A long-term care center can help patients manage their symptoms effectively through regular monitoring, adjustments to treatment plans, and support for coping with pain, fatigue, and other challenges associated with the condition.

Supportive Environment: Living with endometriosis can be physically and emotionally challenging. Long-term care centers can provide a supportive environment where patients can connect with others who understand their experiences, access educational resources, and receive emotional support from healthcare providers and peers.

Continuity of Care: Endometriosis is a chronic condition that often requires lifelong management. Long-term care centers can provide continuity of care, ensuring that patients have access to consistent medical support and monitoring over the long term.

Overall, long-term care centers for endometriosis play a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals living with this condition by providing specialized care, comprehensive treatment, and ongoing support.

#18 Britt Gosse-Jesus - Pelvic floor PT shares her story with endo and finding care in the midwest

#18 Britt Gosse-Jesus - Pelvic floor PT shares her story with endo and finding care in the midwest

Britt is many things, she really is a super-person actually. She is a pelvic floor PT, mom, wife, teacher, friend, colleague, mentor... just to name a few. She is the co-creator of our course which is aimed at educating other healthcare providers in the management of endometriosis.

Today, she shares her journey with us, and it is quite the wild divine story. Finding providers in the mid-west is no joke, and we are lucky to have her helping those in need.

    **************************************************************************

Britt received her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Clarke University in 2016. Following receipt of her DPT, Britt entered into the pelvic health world and didn't turn back. Britt is a Board Certified Women's Health Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. Britt is also certified in Dry Needling, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and a S.T.R.I.D.E Compression Specialist. Britt practices in the Midwest in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Her clinical practice is predominantly in pelvic health across the spectrum of age, gender, and diagnosis, with a niche in female pelvic pain. Britt's caseload also includes some oncology-related rehabilitation, such as lymphedema, and some general orthopedic diagnoses.

Britt is involved in teaching continuing education courses, nationally, in content areas related to pelvic health for other physical therapists. She is a co-author, with Jandra Mueller, of the continuing education courses Be A Warrior for Your Warrior and Endometriosis 101, created to educated other providers on management of endometriosis.

Britt has endometriosis herself and has navigated the all too familiar journey of many others in seeking treatment and care. Her personal journey continues to fuel her passion for patient advocacy, better education and resource availability to patients and providers, and better care options and access to patients, especially those with endometriosis.

When she is not in the clinic Britt can be found pursuing further knowledge in pelvic health, spending time with her family and friends, in the garden or tending to plants, being outdoors, or completing a home project.

This podcast does a great job of breaking down the complexities of endo and they do a good job of selecting people who can speak from their clinical experience and also personal experiences. Definitely recommend!

NaTolle ,

Validating, Educational, Emotionally Charged, and FUN!

Host Jandra Mueller manages to break a complex and emotionally charged topic down into manageable pieces with the help of a variety of guests.

The mix of patient stories with professionals who specialize in endo and it’s many co-morbidities, some of whom are endo patients as well, balances the topic well. Dr. Mueller is able to make a heavy topic less heavy, while honoring the serious nature of this disease.

I’ve listened to every episode so far. I have learned, related, and sometimes cried while listening to each of them.

Thank you, to Jandra and the other providers who are filling a much needed gap in the medical care system with their work, and for sharing what they do on the podcast. Thank you to the patients who are in a place where they can speak to their experience. It helps, greatly.

Ani_LAB ,

Finally! Evidenced based info from knowledgeable and compassionate providers

Jandra Mueller is BRILLIANT! I have been her patient for pelvic floor therapy for 6 months in preparation for excision surgery for endo and a hysterectomy for adenomyosis. She is whip smart, compassionate, seasoned in all things endo and women’s health. This podcast is much needed and ICareBetter couldn’t have picked a better host to disseminate this invaluable information for endo patients.
