    108: What’s it called ?

    108: What’s it called ?

    In the coaching space there are so many terms being thrown around that it can be so confusing about what means what. In today’s blog I am going to give you a description of each !

    Let’s begin with the difference between a mastermind, group coaching program and a course!

    Courses and group coaching programs were created in order to teach people something and to be able to access people from all over the world. The goal is to teach them something:
    * New
    * Valuable, and
    * Impactful
    With the course and group coaching program you can deliver information to your students to
    take and implement into their own lives or businesses.

    A group coaching program has content, structure, curriculum, and coaching from the person facilitating the program. This typically consists of people traveling in a cohort format through the program .

    A course on the other hand can be delivered on demand or gone through at your own pace. A course is a hub in which information is shared on a specific subject (money mindset, business, writing a book etc.)

    Courses are usually hosted through a learning management system (I.e. kajabi, teachable, thinkific), in which students can view their course syllabus, the modules and academic progress, as well as communicate with other students and their instructor.

    Both routes should have tangible takeaways, practical action steps, and support (this could include but it’s not limited to a workbook, activities, coaching calls, online community, or check-ins) as you apply the learning materials to your life.

    A mastermind is a group of like minded people who “mastermind” aka share ideas to bring forth a power of creativity and support. A true mastermind is made by those in the group. They are committed to one another. A group coaching program is a group of people who come together to learn a subject or curriculum and receive coaching from the coach. A mastermind has no content. The coach is a facilitator; the one who attracts the right people into the group.

    One on one coaching - Private coaching requires more personalized attention and more of your time. This is catered to the client and their needs. It can be supplemented with workbooks or trainings as you see fit.

    What’s the difference between a masterclass, webinar and workshop?

    For me when I host webinars they are free. Here I am typically sharing steps they can avoid & then they go off and do it on their own.

    Trainings and masterclasses are often used interchangeably. I usually use this instead of the word webinar because that sounds corporate focused. Masterclasses are specialty classes in which the learning objectives take place through in-depth practice paid with detailed instruction.

    The word “webinar” is a mix of the phrase “web-based seminar.” The webinar topic is supposed to be closely aligned with whatever the host is selling.

    Workshops are usually paid because The host/ coach etc is walking you through the work . In addition to guiding you they are giving room for feedback. For example, I recently hosted a workshop on tapping and I helped the attendees walk through and tap on their own. I also talked about creating scripts etc.

    Ultimately when you’re presenting remember you’re a master and people are looking at you as the authority! You get to use these platforms as the chance to showcase your expertise and let people know how they can work with you. 106: How to run a coaching session from start to finish

    106: How to run a coaching session from start to finish

    I firmly believe that every coach has their own unique approach to coaching, However, most coaching sessions share a common structure and unfold in much the same way. So today we will talk about how you can run a coaching session from start to finish without the overwhelm.

    1. Build rapport

    2. Listen to your client

    3. Support your client

    4. Tasking for your client

    5. Close Out

    Being organized and having a plan will help you feel in control and always know how to conduct a coaching session with confidence. So keep this list of steps handy and trust that the more you practice the more you get to make it your own.

    As a coach you have a very powerful role! When people invest in you (time and money) they are trusting you. Therefore it's imperative to make a commitment to improve your own skills and competencies. If you're ready to learn more about your STAND OUT coaching strategy and how you can weave this into the work you do take the free quiz here: www.nicolyawilliams.com/stand-out-coach-strategy

    104: The Four Permissions We Must Give Ourselves

    104: The Four Permissions We Must Give Ourselves

    Covid kicked my butt....but it taught me a lot.

    So for the last two weeks I have been forced to be still and thanks to my undefined sacral that was super hard for me.

    I realized that even though I had loads of content pre-batched and ready to go I was worried how things would change if I was just laying in bed all day.

    I had such a massive quantum leap the month before and the idea of "loosing momentum" scared me sooo much.

    And I realized it was because I hadn't done the deep work around increasing my level of safety.

    So I went in and did lots of praying, deep reflection, tapping and hypnotherapy- all the tools I have at hand and know the power of.

    My intuition lead to me to start looking  and I found an amazing concept called The Four Permissions.

    Permission to say “No”

    When we are unable to say “No” in the midst of surrounding togetherness pressure, we lose a little of ourselves. It's imperative that we are okay with saying "no". This is not about being selfish, it’s about knowing who you are, what you believe, and what you need.

    Permission to ask for what you need

    Knowing how to take care of yourself means you can ask for what you need and being confident you're worthy of it.

    Permission to make mistakes

    It’s simple to say, but not easy to implement. You can tell yourself it’s OK to make mistakes, but there are voices in your head calling you a failure and the like. Giving yourself this permission will make you more likely to take appropriate risks putting you on the fast track to where you want to be quicker.

    Permission to rethink

    Just because “we’ve always done it this way before,” doesn’t mean we have to keep it up. Sometimes when things aren’t working and it's okay to reflect, reframe and re-do.

    Giving yourself these permissions helps you to create healthy emotional space, and trust again in yourself. It also show's others what is available for them as well.

    These four permissions are great guidelines to show you how to get in touch with yourself and how increase your level of self trust

    How would your life change if you gave yourself permission to implement these permissions?

    102.5: 3 Tell Tale Signs You Should Start Offering High Ticket Coaching

    102.5: 3 Tell Tale Signs You Should Start Offering High Ticket Coaching

    I have worked with some of the most powerful coaches who unfortunately have burned the candles at both ends or hustled their way to burn out. I don't know about you, but I know I can relate to that. They leave the nine to five just to find out that they're working 60 to 80 hours a week for themselves making less money and maybe even less of an impact. Or they move into business and they're trying to help everyone, losing themselves in the process, filling everyone's cup and emptying theirs at the same time. I don't want that for you. And that's why today I want to talk about the three telltale signs that let you know if it's time to move to high value coaching, also known as high impact coaching.

    In the coaching space we hear of high ticket coaching, which is about raising your price, but sadly I feel like many people put so much emphasis on the income, not always prioritizing the impact.

    I want you to be able to shift the structure so that you can build the business that is not only profitable, impactful and sustainable. So let's dive in and talk about those three telltale signs that it's time to move to high value and high impact coaching.
