    S3E6: Kind Power - Pt. 2 w/ Cheryl Whitelaw

SUMMARY: In part 2 of this dynamic conversation, Christina and Cheryl discuss the importance of finding a kinder and more embodied way of using power, rather than relying on force and effort. The discussion explores the idea of kindness and how it involves seeing and accepting others as whole beings, even in moments of conflict or disagreement. Christina and Cheryl discuss the need for genuine empathy and curiosity in our interactions with others, rather than just using words like kindness without truly embodying it. They identify personal practices that promote calm, centering, and grounding to navigate stress and anxiety. Cheryl also shares her work on Kind Power and invites others to live and embody Kind Power in their own lives.

Real power comes from being connected to oneself, the earth, and the divine. It is a force that unites and does not require effort or forcefulness.
Inclusion requires a yes-and approach that acknowledges and respects difficult differences that may not be reconciled.
Resilience, resourcefulness, and spaciousness are essential in engaging in conversations and spaces that challenge us.
Kindness and love can be fierce and powerful, creating a sense of spaciousness and acceptance. Bringing kindness and power together is crucial in the DE&I space.
Genuine empathy and curiosity are essential in our interactions with others.
Taking action is important, and endless discussions and theoretical spaces are not enough.
Personal practices that promote calm, centering, and grounding are valuable for navigating stress and anxiety.
