    IGBEP36-Fasting

Fasting is when you eliminate or reduce food or other elements of distraction for a period of time. It is suggested that you consult your doctor before trying it. From a medical standpoint it allows your body to use energy to properly digest old food and burn fat without having to use energy to digest new foods. Fasting has also been known to be a staple in several faith traditions for many reasons. It’s been known to reduce the “noise” and busyness in our physical and spiritual bodies by allowing time for other important components to rest and be deprived of things that might be toxic. Fasting isn’t always easy but we can get better when we do it properly. Let’s get better! Join us in exploring the different elements of fasting and how it can be used to help us get better!

I GOT BETTER MOMENT

I just have to tell you guys- your podcast has been playing through my speaker ALL DAY. So much so I confronted one of my fears today that has been plaguing my heart and my mind for over a year. This podcast made me realize the ideas I’d concocted in my head might not be mirrored in reality. This revolves around feeling as if I’d failed a friend and a friendship. I profoundly apologized to this friend because I felt responsible and guilty for the lack of communication this last year and a half and her response immediately brought tears to my eyes alongside relief. She said she has never harbored anything against me and the reason we’d lost touch had nothing to do with any direct action/inaction on my part. I felt a tad selfish for having made our distance about me; BUT also instant relief. I truly have you both to thank for that. This podcast is so calming and relatable to me, even in the parts that are uncomfortable as a white woman who stands with the black community amidst prejudice and racism in society. Those parts are not supposed to be easy and Ive absorbed so much from the tough dialogue. I’ve always loved learning from Phedra as a friend throughout the years and now the world gets to which is amazing. I’m sorry this is a novel but I had to share 💛 thank you thank you thank you ladies! The methods WORK and I’ll continue to do my part and GET BETTER 💛

This podcast also helped me to see that more than most we are on the right track...especially as far as intimacy goes. Thank you so much ladies and keep u the good work! I’ll be tuning in for sure!
