    Gina Birkemeier is a licensed professional counselor, award-winning author, and speaker. She holds a master’s degree in psychology and theology and has advanced training in trauma and evidence-based therapies to help people heal. Fueled by a passion derived from being a survivor of generational dysfunction and trauma, Gina has walked with the hurting to help them find hope and healing for nearly two decades. Her teaching and writing are rooted in a combination of faith (defined as a healthy relationship with God) and the sciences of psychology, biology, and epigenetics.

    In today’s VERY FIRST episode of the Initiations in Love podcast, Britta talks with her student, friend and business mentor, Jess Geist! They speak about her Initiations in Love journey, dig deep, get vulnerable, and Britta even coaches Jess throughout the discussion. 
    They discuss one of the most primal passages – Jess’s initiation into motherhood. Jess shares how she went from absolutely not wanting to be a mother, to sitting and speaking with Britta for the podcast at nine months pregnant! Sometimes, Love is calling us to something way beyond our comprehension (or plans) into a completely new way of being!

    Jess Geist, M.S., is a Transformational Leadership Coach and Hypnotherapist, CEO of Worth to Wealth International and creator of the Subconscious Harmonics Method. Over the last 10 years, she has helped thousands of people ranging from multi-millionaires and Fortune 100 executives, to heart surgeons and entrepreneurs. Jess also has 17+ years of business consulting experience working with clients like Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, and has also taught and coached at top universities such as Northwestern University, Stanford and University of Chicago. Jess has an M.S. in Learning and Organizational Change from Northwestern University, a B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University, is a certified Rapid Transformational Therapist and trained coach. She lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband Rich Belsky and their son Zayne. Jess loves to hike with her two pups, travel anywhere, and is a blue belt in Brazilian jiujitsu.
