Diving in to Distance Learning
Like many school districts across the country we are starting virtually this fall. In this episode we discuss some of the top considerations educators have for the virtual classroom.
Adrienne speaks with Lisa Smith, school counselor, about social/emotional well-being, why it’s so important right now, and what teachers can do for their students and themselves.
Kim interviews Brian Smith, instructional coach, about ways he’s helping teachers in this virtual world.
Ashley speaks with veteran teacher Katherine Leonard about building relationships in the classroom and how she plans on adapting that to a virtual environment this fall. We also talk about what it means to just dance it out!

Check in During COVID-19 Part 2!
Our first episode featured a series of interviews with teachers at different experience levels discussing how they approached instruction at the beginning of March and school closure. During this time we also interviewed school counselor and Equity and Diversity Committee member Christina Tillery. In this mini episode we explore her experience as a school counselor during COVID 19, her trip with Soulful Change to Johannesburg South Africa, and what she has been binge watching during quarantine!

Teacher Check In During COVID-19
The unprecedented circumstances in which we find ourselves means that educators, even more now than ever, need to think outside of the box when considering what students need most now, and how to provide that.
We decided to take this time to check in with some of our colleagues, see how they’re holding up, and ask how these events are making them rethink the way they approach education.
Here we interview first year English Teacher Natalie Esch, Business and Marketing/ Ex Ed Teacher Keylon Mayo, and veteran Band Director Davon Yonkers. -
