Cold is a narrative podcast series focused on missing persons cases. Investigative journalist and host Dave Cawley takes on a single story with each season. Season 1: Susan Powell Case Files, the Cold journey begins with Dave’s investigation into the unsolved disappearance of Susan Powell… and the man with the most to gain from her death. Season 2: Justice for Joyce Yost delves into the details of a murder-for-hire plot and attempts to find justice for Joyce – a woman who bravely reported her kidnapping and rape only to vanish without a trace. Season 3: The Search for Sheree follows two suspects in the 1985 disappearance of Sheree Warren while examining the dangerous escalation of domestic abuse and sexual violence. The Cold team seeks to answer the question: what really happened to Sheree Warren?

I’m very picky about what podcasts I listen to (especially with true crime), and literally none of them have captured my mind and heart the way Cold has. There is no unnecessary filler— every episode is jam-packed with detailed information that host Dave Cawley painstakingly researched and assembled in a narrative that will both inform and utterly devastate you. I’ve listened to some of seasons 2 & 3, and they are promising to be just as good. Unbeatable investigative journalism on Mr. Cawley's part.

My young family moved to Utah (SL valley) in 2005. The Susan Powell case was the first big news story that really stuck with me. I remember thinking nobody in their right mind takes little kids camping in December. I knew Josh had killed his wife. Since then we have come to love this state and our children have lived from Ogden down to Provo over the years. My husband and I plan to retire in the next couple of years and our destination will be pine view area. Your newer cases are in this area so they caught my attention plus I am 60 so these missing ladies would have been around my age. Dave, thank you for your love and tenderness towards these victims. My heart absolutely breaks for their families. I have buried a child and can tell you there is no greater pain in this world. I have witnessed what our loss did to my other children. There are no words or enough justice in this life to heal a loss we carry each day. I hope your podcasts bring closure to these grieving families by shining light where it has dimmed over time. Thank you
Love it.

Great podcast. Sensitivity towards the victims is immensely appreciated. I would like to hear more from that Reed Richards guy I find the prosecutors side extremely interesting.
Very long

This could have been a much more interesting podcast if it were edited down to eight episodes instead of 15. There was a lot of repetition and if you already know the outcome, some of the story was not that engaging. It was very well researched, reported, and edited.
