Harrison Ingram is firmly in the 2024 NBA Draft (as far as we currently know), but what if he didn’t hear what he wanted and ultimately returned to Carolina? Assuming that Cliff Omoruyi also committed, UNC would be absolutely loaded. A likely starting lineup of Elliot Cadeau, RJ Davis, Cade Tyson, Ingram, and Omoruyi. Not to mention a stocked bench that includes Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Jae’lyn Withers, Ian Jackson, Drake Powell, Zayden High, and James Brown.

Speaking of Withers, he is officially back. That was the expectation all along, but Jon Rothstein confirmed it on Thursday. Omoruyi is currently on his visit to Chapel Hill – so go where you go, do what you do.

RJ Davis is returning to North Carolina for a 5th year. He’s already accomplished so much in a Tar Heel uniform, but what else can he do individually and at the team level to continue cementing his legacy? Cliff Omoruyi begins his Carolina visit today and many eyes are on the center position. But UNC is also looking for another PF, namely Adou Thiero. What happens if Thiero goes elsewhere? North Carolina's RJ Davis is officially back for his 5th year of college. Davis will likely be the National Preseason Player of the Year and will be set to break tons of records. The NBA Draft Early Entry list came out on Tuesday and while it’s interesting to look at the names on it; it’s equally as intriguing to see what names are NOT on the list. This year that included RJ Davis and Adou Thiero. Davis’ absence is further confirmation of his return to Chapel Hill (although it’s still yet to be reported by he or the UNC). Thiero’s absence is notable because the prevailing understanding was that Carolina would have to wait until the Kentucky transfer went through the NBA Draft Process.

Carolina’s search for a big man appears to fully centered on Rutgers transfer Cliff Omoruyi, who has been visiting Alabama early this week. There was fear that the Tide would lock up his commitment and Omoruyi would never visit Chapel Hill. However, the good news is that Omoruyi will indeed take his trip to Carolina, and confirmed that it will be his final visit.
