Best Choice I’ve Made in 30-year Career

When I think about all the opportunities I have passed by, it gives me pause. I now realize that is a good thing. A gift. A long enough pause to ask myself “Why Leap Academy?” I came to a crossroads last November when I almost became a statistic in the number of lives Sepsis takes every year in this country. When I was given the gift of a second chance at life, I have focused on the “why” behind being asked to write a book about the secret behind raising confident, successful kids the last 33 years! I will remain in healthcare to continue my mission of helping patients receive effective medicines at a reasonable cost, while Leap has given me the tools to launch my platform. I can do both! 🦸♀️ I can’t thank you enough Ilana, Heather, Su, Gina, Shannon, Lisa, Jason, Mary, Dinah, Amanda, Jacqui, Gillian….I know I’m missing some. You guys will forever be regarded as the engines in front of and behind my mission of COMING ALIVE IN 2025! 😘
Inspiring stories of resilience!

I highly recommend this podcast! Sometimes I listen to horror or frothy gossip to break away from life for a minute but this podcast fills me with hope, motivates me to keep moving forward, and reminds me to never give up on my dreams. Ilana brings out honest conversation from her guests who by most standards have achieved great success. However they, like all of us, faced failures, setbacks, and moments that required sheer determination. Ilana delves into their motivations, purpose, and how they maintain resilience in the face of adversity. Truly inspiring stories.
Ageist

Participating in a wellness bingo for the month of September a suggestion was made to listen to a new podcast and I chose this show and the episode on a portfolio career. I was a little over halfway in, when she made reference to the age of 50 or 60 as too late. I found this to be very discouraging and ageist. While it is certainly advisable to do things as soon as possible from the age of 30 rather than waiting, her comments or the way she worded it negates anyone who has ever done anything positively later in life. You may be aiming for a different audience, but really need to consider your language. Warren Buffett is always held up as an example of somebody who made his fortune in what would be considered late in life. Apparently people of my age are not welcome here and I’ll have to go elsewhere to get my information. people in their 50s and 60s are not invisible or incapable. Do better.
Highly recommend for seasoned ambitious business people committed to growth and impact

One of Ilana's superpowers is the ability to have each entrepreneur share the critical moments of their journey to making it that shows who they are and what it took for them to succeed. In listening to her podcast episode after episode, the required traits and mindset emerge to adopt to win too.
