Let's Talk Surgery: The RCSEd Podcast RCSEd

Greg is joined on the podcast by Professor Campbell Roxburgh, consultant colorectal surgeon and Chair of the Scottish National Clinical Reference Group on Robot Assisted Surgery. We discuss the novel strategic expansion approach adopted in collaboration with the Scottish Government to provide access to robotic platforms across Scotland. We also acknowledge the challenges (including impact on training) as well as some of the successes. 

Greg is joined on the podcast by Mr Lawrence Okiror where they cover aspects of robot assisted surgery thoracic surgery. They review some of the evidence for improved outcomes, benefits of robotic surgery, and progress made in the specialty over the years. Some thoughts on trainee impact is also discussed.

RCSEd President, Professor Rowan Parks and Chelliah Selvasekar join Greg on the podcast to introduce our new Robot Assisted Surgery (RAS) series. We discuss the work RCSEd is doing with industry partners to ensure safe RAS surgery as well as adequate training provision. Worth a listen!
