Episode #203- Resiliency & The Power of Mental Rehearsal -w/Brian Tracy

Send us a text Episode Notes:  In this short, but valuable episode of Mind Wrench, we dive into the power of resilience as the key differentiator between success and struggle in both business and life. Resilience is the invisible backbone of achievement, enabling individuals to bounce back from adversity swiftly and maintain focus.  Author & keynote speaker Brian Tracy shares his powerful insights, the concept of "mental rehearsal" – a technique that prepares you emotionally for inevitable challenges before they arrive. Tracy's straightforward wisdom reminds us that "all of life is a continuous series of problems" interrupted only by occasional crises, a perspective that helps reframe our approach to difficulties, like we experience daily in the collision business, right?  Rather than being derailed by setbacks, truly resilient people immediately shift to solution-focused thinking.    In addition, we share Tracy's "mind storming" technique, also known as the "20 idea method," is highlighted as a transformative tool for financial success. By writing down 20 potential solutions to a specific goal, individuals are pushed beyond obvious answers, often leading to breakthrough insights. This simple yet powerful exercise encourages creative thinking and problem-solving. By adopting these strategies, shop owners can enhance their ability to handle setbacks, drive business success, and achieve personal growth. Tune in to strengthen your resilience and transform your approach to life's inevitable challenges.   More from Brian Tracy Link to YouTube talk: Secrets of Self Made Millionaires by Brian Tracy   Sign up for FREE to my "Quote of the Day" below:  https://tinyurl.com/fv5xr68h Support the show Join our Mind Wrench mailing list! 👉 https://bit.ly/3DGNM9o Need one-on-one Mindset or Personal Development coaching? – drop me a note @ Personal Coaching – Rick Selover 👉 CLICK HERE FOR 50% OFF YOUR FIRST MONTH OF COACHING! Ep.#202- Beyond the Repair: Turning Soft Skills into Your Shop's Ultimate Advantage- w/Sheryl Driggers

Send us a text Episode Notes:  The difference between a good collision repair shop and a truly exceptional one often boils down to one critical factor: how people feel when they interact with your business.  Join us this week as Sheryl Driggers, former MSO owner and now lead CSR trainer for Mike Anderson's elite Spartan Groups, reveals the science and strategy behind creating meaningful connections that transform both customer experience and employee satisfaction. Here are three effective actions collision shop leaders can take from Sheryl’s insights: Cultivate a Positive Environment: Focus on creating a positive workplace atmosphere. Encourage a culture where positivity is the norm, as it enhances decision-making, creativity, and productivity. This can be achieved by recognizing and celebrating small wins, offering support, and fostering open communication among team members.Enhance Emotional Connections: Train your staff to prioritize emotional intelligence in customer interactions. Encourage them to go beyond standard service protocols by making customers feel valued and understood. Simple gestures like personalized follow-ups or remembering customer preferences can create memorable experiences that enhance customer loyalty.Implement the "One Degree" Concept: Encourage your team to consistently perform small, thoughtful actions that exceed customer expectations. This could include personalized thank-you notes, unexpected discounts, or simply going the extra mile in service delivery. These minor enhancements can significantly impact customer satisfaction and lead to increased referrals and repeat business.Taking these actions, rooted in positive human interactions, can transform both your customer service and employee engagement, driving long-term success for your business!   GUEST CONTACT Sheryl Driggers - sheryl@collisionadvice.com CollisionAdvice – www.collisionadvice.com Shawn Achor Ted Talk: https://youtu.be/GXy__kBVq1M?si=robDiWbKpUVOTuaA The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People: https://w Support the show Join our Mind Wrench mailing list! 👉 https://bit.ly/3DGNM9o Need one-on-one Mindset or Personal Development coaching? – drop me a note @ Personal Coaching – Rick Selover 👉 CLICK HERE FOR 50% OFF YOUR FIRST MONTH OF COACHING! 5. Episode #199- "It's easy in America"- w/Jim Rohn

    MAY 12

Episode #199- "It's easy in America"- w/Jim Rohn

Send us a text Episode Notes:  Are you letting that thick cloud of uncertainty holding you back from making bold moves in your business? You're not alone. In this week’s episode, we tackle the hesitation many entrepreneurs & business owners are experiencing when it comes to starting new ventures, expanding locations, or investing in necessary equipment and technology.  The collision repair industry, like many service businesses, has always been cyclical - something easy to forget after the unusual steady backlog of the post-COVID years. Rather than viewing current conditions as unprecedented hardship, we explore how many of America's most iconic businesses actually launched during economic downturns. From Disney and Revlon emerging during the Great Depression to Uber and Airbnb launching during the 2008-2009 recession, history shows that opportunity exists regardless of economic climate.  Through the wisdom in a valuable clip from Jim Rohn, we unpack a refreshingly simple success formula that anyone can apply: live in a place of opportunity, find an opportunity, and find a mentor. Mr. Rohn's journey to becoming a millionaire by 31 wasn't the result of perfect circumstances but rather his willingness to change himself while circumstances remained largely the same. His most profound insight might be that "the things that are easy to do are also easy not to do" - explaining why success often comes down to consistently doing simple actions that others neglect.  Don't let today's uncertainty paralyze you into inaction. Remember Henry Ford's wisdom that "whether you think you can or you think you can't, you'll be right." Your next level of success doesn't require waiting for perfect conditions - it simply requires overcoming the neglect of daily actions that compound into remarkable results!    More from Jim Rohn Link to YouTube talk: Getting Rich is Easy!   Get the SUNO AI app!    Sign up for FREE to my "Quote of the Day" below:  https://tinyurl.com/fv5xr68h Support the show Join our Mind Wrench mailing list! 👉 https://bit.ly/3DGNM9o Need one-on-one Mindset or Personal Development coaching? – drop me a note @ Personal Coaching – Rick Selover 👉 CLICK HERE FOR 50% OFF YOUR FIRST MONTH OF COACHING! Episode #198- Why Your Shop Needs SOP's - REBOOT #140

Send us a text Show Notes: Does the way your CSRs answer the phone, communicate with & onboard your customers seem to be inconsistent? Are the visual cues in your production areas as clear & concise as what you would find in a hospital ER or industrial plant? Are your Google or CSI reviews suffering due to delayed deliveries, poor communications or inconsistent quality?  The problem is simply the lack of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This episode unravels the critical role of SOPs in shaping up your business, impacting everyone from your technicians to your most valuable asset - your customers. Discover the massive difference standard procedures can make in controlling the quality in your repairs and how this minor, yet significant change can reap major benefits. Episode #197- Choose a Better Path: The Power of Collision Performance Groups

Send us a text Episode Notes:   😬 If you missed the mid-90s collision repair landscape, most body shop owners fiercely guarded their "secret sauce," proudly declaring "I don't need anybody's help" while paint companies hosted product-focused events that many viewed as time away from fixing cars rather than investments in growth. Fortunately, those days are long gone. ⌛ Today's successful collision repair professionals face a pivotal choice… ⚔️You can struggle alone against the overwhelming tide of evolving equipment needs, paint & materials, training requirements, DRP relationships, OEM procedures, safety regulations, and staffing challenges… 🧲or you can join forces with fellow shop owners who've already navigated these waters and are willing to share their hard-won wisdom. After attending countless industry events since the 90s, I recently experienced something transformative at two major collision conferences that left me both humbled and inspired. The sense of community was undeniable – shop owners celebrating each other's achievements, forging deep friendships, and demonstrating genuine respect for their coaches and peers. This wasn't just networking; it was belonging to something greater than any individual business. 🧰 🏎️ Performance groups from all the major paint companies, as well as Collision Advice's Spartan 300, Certified Collision Group and a few others now offer structured coaching, financial education, accountability, continuing education, and powerful networking opportunities. The results speak for themselves – 80% of coaching clients report improved confidence, and 99% express satisfaction with their experience. 🚀 Your network truly equals your net worth in this industry. The question isn't whether you can afford to join these communities – it's whether you can afford not to! 🤔 🔓 Ready to condense years of learning into days by tapping into collective expertise?... Episode #196- Leveraging the Slowdown: Turning Downtime into Opportunity

Send us a text Episode Notes:  The never-ending rollercoaster of collision repair business has taken another dip, and shops across the country are feeling the pinch. After years of unprecedented backlogs following COVID, the industry is experiencing a significant slowdown that's becoming the talk of every industry gathering. But rather than panicking, this moment presents a unique opportunity to strengthen your business foundation.    This slowdown stems from several converging factors that are well beyond our control… however, successful shop owners recognize that these cyclical downturns are inevitable—and can be leveraged to your advantage.    We explore 4 critical areas every collision center should focus on during slow periods.  1st, finding creative ways to fill those empty stalls—from municipal vehicle contracts to specialty refinishing work that keeps your paint booth productive. 2nd, strengthening your marketing efforts, as data shows shops that maintained consistent marketing during busy times are significantly outperforming those who didn't. 3rd, implementing shop improvements that often get neglected during busy periods, like developing SOPs, optimizing shop layout, and conducting thorough financial reviews. Finally, catching up on training and education that positions your team to handle the next wave of technological advancements.    The most successful shops view these slowdowns not as setbacks but as strategic opportunities to prepare for the inevitable upturn. By investing in these four key areas now, you'll be positioned to outperform your competition when business rebounds… because as history has shown us, it always does!
