Amazing Advice

I started listening to this podcast several years ago when I was actively looking for a job. I decided to stop my job search but restarted again this year. Matthew’s advice throughout was phenomenal. I ended up scheduling a one on one coaching session as well and would highly recommend that too. I got the job that I was looking for and couldn’t be happier!

Amazing and Helpful Advice

I was active duty in the military for over a decade and recently decided to leave the military to seek other opportunities. I haven’t had to search for or interview for a job in the civilian sector since I was in high school, so this was all new to me. I have advanced engineering degrees, an MBA, and ample experience, but I was still underprepared because I had no experience with the job search and interview process. I felt disadvantaged and intimidated because I was competing against people with years of experience in this process. Stumbling upon this podcast was a game changer. I worked my resume and job search based on his tips. Most importantly, this helped me prepare and research heavily for the interview. I went into my first interview feeling slightly nervous, but my preparation quickly emerged. I felt confident and actually had fun with it. I feel like I was able to showcase my personality and effectively communicate my message. I don’t know yet if I got the job, but the tips from this podcast have definitely given me the tools to succeed in a new industry.
Got a job in a month after listening

Started my job search in February and just accepted an offer in March. My cover letter, resume, and interview techniques changed drastically in that month thanks to you. My only request is to do an episode about mothers with children; some people would ask if I had a kid or refer to me as the candidate with a kid. Thanks again for the advice
