Annie Jung is the Executive Director of the NM Medical Society. In this episode, she discusses how she became involved in that role and what the medical society has accomplished in the last legislative session.

Dr. Sisneros describes his journey from growing up in rural Northern New Mexico to becoming a dentist and serving his community. He also discusses some of the challenges rural patients and dentists face, like accessing care without adequate insurance, the dangers of out-of-state for-profit clinics, and dealing with the dentist and dental hygienist shortages we are currently experiencing.

Carissa, Daniel, and Ben talk about the Peer Education Project, an organization that helps keep incarcerated people healthy, gives them tools to succeed when they re-enter, and supports them in pursuing positive, productive lives thereafter. Juliana discusses her role as a health extension officer as part of UNM's Health Extension Regional Offices (HERO) program. She also talks about healthcare in North Central New Mexico and some of the community’s strengths and challenges.
