Family member of long term care resident

I cannot say enough positive words about the very helpful information shared and the thoughtful and compassionate work done by this organization. It has been an enormous support in a time/place of agonizing need. So much gratitude for light shed on darkness and for giving voice to so many unable to represent themselves.

Eye-Opening and Valuable

I found this podcast to reveal important information about the huge profits being made in the nursing home industry while the facilities themselves are starved for funding to adequately pay for high-quality staffing and programming. Other topics include regulatory issues, quality of care issues, and other information vital to understanding this tragedy that affects such a large sector of our population.

Disappointed

I download this App as a nurse and Administrator in LTC for over 25 years. After listening to Thursday’s podcast, which hosted the CEO of LTCCC, I now know the creators of this app don’t have the resident’s real interests in mind. It’s so easy for media to make stories about how “awful” nursing homes are and how they are the source of the problem. Let’s talk about the lack of funding and the multitude of issues as to why nursing homes are rapidly closing around the country. Perhaps you should consider doing some further investigation instead of taking the easy approach of putting a scarlet letter on long-term care facilities.
