    Radical acceptance, accepting what is without being consumed by thoughts and behaviour patterns.

    We are all met with misfortune, challenging days, feeling like the universe is out to get you, in these times it can be met with maladaptive coping strategies like overeating, body shame.

    Radical acceptance means practicing a conscious effort to acknowledge and honour difficult situations and emotions. Fully accepting things as they are, instead of ignoring, avoiding, or wishing the situation were different, it can be a critical step in moving through a difficult experience to experiencing more meaning in the present.
