    iGEM (#128)

Listen to three brilliant iGEM 2nd year university students in Beijing talk about their synthetic biology project competition to be held in Boston, Massachusetts in November 2018.  Their project combines art and science and is inspired by Oscar Wilde's short story "The Nightingale and the Rose". Their project is called Rose Forest.
The International Genetically Engineered Machine competition is a worldwide synthetic biology competition that was initially aimed at undergraduate university students in 2003, but has since expanded to include divisions for high school students, entrepreneurs, and community laboratories, as well as ‘overgraduates’. In 2017, there were 300 teams from over 42 countries.

Short and sweet

These podcasts are useful and interesting — and a good way to get insight into American slang and idioms. Great for learners “on the go”.

inatu ,

Has been great but in disappointment

This American idiom episode has been one of the best until Chinese is added. Please change the name to American/Chinese Idiom. Otherwise people will be confused.

chinalewis ,

It's in English and Chinese.

Very useful for learners of English and natives who want to know the origin of the idiom/slang ..BTW, to the other reviewer , thanks for review but my name is Lewis not Adam. Also, I am located in Beijing, China. Most of my listeners are in China or of Chinese background in other countries so I use a translator from English to Chinese. Sorry if you cannot speak Chinese. Just listen to the English. Thanks
