    It has been said that the opposite of addiction is connection.  We have certainly found that connection has been the key to our recoveries having any chance of being successful.  Connection to ourselves and connection to others.  Both a chance to give and a chance to recieve. One hallmark of addiction is to isolate and alienate but if we reach out to others who understand what we are going through then active recovery is possible.
