This Podcast has Changed My Life
Amy, I do not even know how to begin to express my gratitude. Listening to the information, resources, and experts you have interviewed has given me a wealth of knowledge and empowered me to take control of my own health and fertility.
A bit of back story: I was put on the pill at 12 to control irregular, heavy bleeding. Was diagnosed with PCOS at 27 and went through several rounds of fertility treatments before conceiving our darling twin girls. At 29 I asked my OBGYN if there was an alternative to taking birth control to help control my PCOS symptoms and he said well if you want to have more children one day, it’s too early to have a hysterectomy. Just take the BC and we’ll trying another IUI if you want more children down the road…because I have lean PCOS, I found it more difficult for me to access helpful advice for my specific body. Then one magical day I found your podcast! I became a ravenous listener. I implemented changes that felt good for my body like going off the pill, doing more resistance training and less cardio, eating a lower GI diet, incorporating inositol supplements, and ate more fats. I also purchased the OvuSense monitor after hearing about it on your show so I could literally see the impacts these changes were having on my body.
I feel amazing! I feel like MYSELF! And last month, I found out I was pregnant. I know there’s changes will help me manage this life-long condition. My family and I are so grateful to you. I will continue to share and support this podcast! Thank you.
