$500+ returned. I mean, it’s a solid podcast otherwise. But for the money, can’t be beat!
Energy grid—battery farms (Jan 29, 2025 podcast)
Mar 24
I was catching up on some older podcasts today and the January 29, 2025 podcast caught my attention about “Reimagining the energy grid through battery storage.” This podcast references Cal Flats battery storage, which happens to be located in the SE corner of Monterey County (Chalome), Calif—and I live 125 miles northwest of Chalome in the NW corner of the same “Monterey County,” about 15 miles from the Moss Land battery plant operated by Vistra (located 20-25 miles from Monterey, Pebble Beach, and Carmel. The Moss Landing Vistra lithium battery site experienced a major fire that occurred at that coastal location on January 16, 2025, nearly 2 weeks BEFORE your podcast — ithe fires also reignited about a week later. These battery storage sites are fine and dandy, but what considerations and planning are in place for unexpected fires, contamination, winds, etc? The wildfires in Southern California were also happening at this time, beginning January 7, 2025, being highly impacted by winds. What will the Cal Flats battery storage location do if a wildfire takes off near/in it? The strong winds CANNOT be controlled by humans. There are 2 lakes not too far away (Nacimiento and San Antonio) but what if their water levels are so low (due to drought) to fight wildfires? Do politicians realize the “down wind” impact of their current decisions? Or just “the good for the moment? Decontamination and fire prevention is rarely mentioned when talking about these things, but it also has long term effects. Your podcast referenced the fears of the energy grid operators in Texas that occurred during the moment in 2023…..

So sorry to see this program fail, was good. Terrible stories and research the bubble gum and popcorn they provide are without any meat. Unsubscribe, remove from library.
Payment?

Asking me to pay in apple podcasts to listen to a podcast that has changed from economics to politics. The show used to be so great. Good luck paying the bills as ratings and downloads fall.

I was enjoying the show but lately it seems more focused on politics than anything else. Show has drifted away from my interests.
The reviews on here are absolutely incredible
Feb 17
I’m reading through the reviews and I’m just kinda of sick and tired of people trying to fabricate an excuse to go after the shows hosts and topics choices, expressing their valid genuine concerns. Leave investing and financial services to the pros and stop taking so Everything personal. Sorry your local community doesn’t help minorities and then you wonder why they turn on you. Great shows guys keep up the great work and don’t let these bias fabricated trigger words mean anything. It’s not like they have anything of value to say.
