In 2009, Sharon was diagnosed with Bartonella and Babesia, co-infections of Lyme disease. The final blow was becoming almost bedridden with back and knee pain. Four months later, after visiting a dozen different doctors she found the RIGHT doctor who diagnosed her with late stage chronic Lyme disease. Her passions include writing and educating the public about the proper diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease, but she still finds time for reading, needlepoint and knitting.
