Group Answers Episode 258: Haley Malone

Group Answers Episode 258: Haley Malone

On this episode of Group Answers, Brian and Chris talk to Haley Malone, the Groups Director at First Baptist Church Orlando.

Bio: Haley Malone grew up in South Florida and attended Florida State University earning a degree in mathematics education. For her this was a way of intentionally connecting with the next generation. Her time in Tallahassee led her to a plant church (City Church Tallahassee) where she served as the Guest Connection/Next Steps Volunteer and small group leader. Upon graduation she started working at a local high school teaching Algebra, coaching volleyball and continuing to serve at her church. These three things brought her great community and her now Husband, Ryne. They moved to Orlando and Haley continued to coach volleyball and teach math at a Christian school that is closely affiliated with First Orlando. She spent 5 years in the classroom and on the volleyball sidelines before stepping into full time student ministry. She now has 3 children, ages 6, 4 and 5 months, and she has served as the Managing Director of Adult Groups at First Orlando for the last 2 years.

Leaders Need Leaders Too

Guys, I can’t thank you enough for your podcast. As a new lay leader of our church’s group and Sunday School ministries, I’m finding a wealth of great information by listening to you and your guests. I especially like the openness and vulnerability of your guests as they share personal testimonies of their ministries. Please keep up the great work. A personal request is to include podcasts for the ministry lay leaders (not the small group leaders), on how ministry leaders can invest in and train group leaders in areas that are needed and how we can increase and grow the number of small groups in our church. God bless.

Long Introduction

Episode #127: Just finished your episode on Spiritual Practices. The introduction seemed long to me. You could get into the main content sooner. Other than that your podcast was great.
