Need to read the book first
12/27/2020
I found this podcast after reading the book (of the same name). I think reading the book essential to understand the frameworks and methods they recommend, especially since the podcast episodes don’t seem to discuss them in detail. The podcast is a great and interesting supplement to the book.
Still Great Five Years Later
Mar 11
I found the website and PLS podcast back in 2019 as a first time mom. I welcomed a surprise second just 14 months later, and the guidance from this podcast made a really chaotic time a heck of a lot easier. I truly believe it’s one of the reasons my girls are such great sleepers who ASK for their one remaining nap even at 3 and 4 years old. They are the cleverest little people and I think most of that is due to good sleep habits. Fast forward to January 2024 when my third child was born. He’s already on his way to great sleep habits, but I was struggling with daytime sleep. Thankfully I remembered the name of this podcast so I could refresh my memory on how long my last little baby should be awake between naps. Today is already one of the best nap days ever and I can finally get the laundry folded! Thanks so much to these ladies and the wisdom that they continue to bestow on sleep deprived parents.❤️
Fascinating

This is very helpful especially to those of us who love learning and research! And what better topic than baby’s and sleep which is going to affect mama’s lives so much!
Do not recommend

My number one concern is their endorsement of allowing an infant to sleep in a swing and bedsharing. Both of which are proven to be unsafe. They also talk over and over again about the importance of a baby falling asleep independently but never talk about how to accomplish that. This ended up being a huge waste of time.
