Pregnancy Pukeology Podcast

This is honestly one of the better pregnancy information podcasts I’ve listened to. Reliable, evidence based, non-judgmental info and personal anecdotes. I wish there were more episodes to listen to!

I’ve recently had a baby and had the whole episiotomy done and still suffered a tear considering my baby was born at 10 pounds and 2 ounces. What a relief it is knowing that my body will eventually heal and that they are more often then I thought! Great podcast, really insightful and very relatable!! Makes me feel better knowing other moms out there have had the same things happen!!

Most of the podcast sounds like she’s reading off of a Wikipedia article and when she does go “off script” she stumbles over her words and cuts off sentences making it hard to understand what she’s getting at. It also makes it seem like she really doesn’t know what she’s talking about when she has to rely upon her own knowledge.She’s vague on some information, for instance she mentions how a low or decreased kick count can be bad but doesn’t mention at how many weeks you really should start being concerned with kick counts. She doesn’t cite sources for research, for example she’ll say things like “some scientists” etc. I take allot of the do’s and dont’s that she says with a grain of salt. The puke stories she includes in each episode are gross and not funny at all. 2 stars is for making it so I can listen to some interesting information while I’m driving and can’t read a Wikipedia article myself.

I was recently looking for more information on how COVID19 affects pregnant women and this podcast was perfect it answered all the questions I was looking for and gave me the knowledge I needed to help my family! Definitely going to recommend this to my wife and sister!
