Prime Cuts

You’ve been on an amazing run, this is easily my favorite podcast/fever dream about a toy commercial. But good luck with the rest of it when you already peaked with THE JERKERRRR IT’S ALL ABOUT THE JERKER BABYYYYYYYY

Oh man. So I’m really enjoying this show but like there hits a point where the jokes are, “It’s a kid show…. Isn’t that crazy?” And like yea I guess but we all are aware of the genre we are in and what we are watching so the bit kind of falls flat. It’s kind of like making fun of a clown for having a red nose. Like yea it’s a clown that’s the point. But I legit have laughed out loud in my car while listening to it too! It’s genuinely funny and the two hosts have amazing chemistry as well as being very likable. It just feels like somebody needed to go a little heavier with the editing. Like the one host has made the, “We sure aren’t on Earth *wink*” joke every episode if not FIVE times in one episode. That’s five times too many my dude. I get the feeling it’s a safety joke for them, which is totally fine. Just edit it out. It’s very close to being just a charming and funny podcast but it’s so concerned with always being on that the good bits are competing too much with the unfunny stuff. That said I’m still a fan and will be on board.
