This podcast could be a lot better if more thought went into the content. That said, maybe it’s perfect because it’s unfiltered—it really does give you a raw look into how an NFL player thinks. Let me get Jack out of the way first: he talks like he’s on the Ravens' payroll, constantly using “we” and “us” like he’s part of the team. He’s not. He’s a podcaster. And when he used to ask about what’s in the Ravens’ playbook? Cringe. Glad he dropped that. Now, Marlon is entertaining, no doubt, but he has zero self-awareness. Hearing his stories—travel, locker room life, random behind-the-scenes stuff—is genuinely interesting. But then you hear him back a presidential candidate without even knowing their party, and it’s just insane. He also casually admits to cheating in college like it’s no big deal, which says a lot about how insulated some athletes are from normal standards. Still, the show has its moments. They pull in good guests, and if nothing else, it’s a fascinating peek into the mindset of a professional athlete—flaws and all.
