Detailed and Captivating

I absolutely love this podcast! I’ve learned so much about some of the less discussed Queens of history. James is so detailed and captivating in his work for this podcast.

Around the Throne the Thunder Roars

This is as good as it gets. Mr. Bolton has such a depth of knowledge of his subjects and presents it with wit, enthusiasm and empathy. He also manages to shed new light on subjects that have been written about, made into movies and lectured about thousands of times, and he still presents fresh viewpoints. He can debunk (and also bunk) some of the most popular myths.
I dread running out of episodes to listen to, but at that point I will listen to all of them again.....have I mentioned he has an amazing voice?

Obscure, yet fascinating.

First rate scholarship, delivered with panache. I found your podcast when I could no longer suffer the puerile, indecent comments of some scholars. I am not impressed with the Queens, however. I get them mixed up, but a heroic effort to make them important. Could you slow down your delivery just a tad?
