    Shame and Guilt about Mental Health 🫶🏾

    The biggest issue with a mental illness diagnosis isn’t the diagnosis itself. It’s the shame and guilt about the diagnosis. Once I started giving myself more grace and compassion and stopped blaming myself for my neurodivergence, it became a lot easier to accept and treat my conditions. I hope this episode helps someone else do the same.

    It’s easy to feel like you need to manipulate your circumstances and control your world. However, I invite you to surrender your agenda to the higher agenda. You are a part of the whole. You have limited perspective. You can’t see the full picture. Trust in a higher power that has your best interest at heart. Learn how to be present and not live in the past or future.     Neurospicy Black Women cannot survive in a Neurotypical World 🧘🏾‍♀️

    Most Neurospicy Black women will never know they’re Neurospicy. They’ll think that their inability to play by society’s rules and “Adult” is a character flaw. Black women are less likely to think they may have a brain issue. 🧠 We are much more likely to internalize our failures than seek help. (And many don’t have access to adequate, unbiased help) As a result we often end up deeply depressed, often self medicating with drugs or alcohol and suicidal. 💔I teach Neurospicy women how to create a world that works for with their neurodivergence!
