Welcome to Simple(ish) Fitness!
Okay, so you’ve gone through some time of building value in health and fitness, you’ve started doing some things at home, and you’re ready to invest more and take your fitness to the next level… what do you do next?
Have you considered online personal training? It is a great way to integrate a personal trainer or coach into your current lifestyle and help you achieve your goals.
Online training is what we will be talking about today. Why is it different from in-person training, what are some benefits to it and reasons you should give it a try.
How do you know you’ve found a good fit, what should you ask your trainer, and how can you approach some questions such as, biting off the right amount, or adjusting a plan that you aren’t a fan of.
To join us for this discussion and share some of his wisdom is Dustin Lash. Dustin is a very experienced fitness professional who works with many clients through online personal training.
He has seen and done it all! And will guide us through some important understandings and perspectives of online training so that you can find success!

38. What Do You Think of Biohacking?
Welcome to Simple(ish) Fitness!
I’m sure you have seen the term biohack on your social media, or said among your friends, or maybe pop up in your newsfeed, but what does it make you think of?
Do you think of someone trying weird things that you aren’t sure about? Or maybe you get an itch to try it for yourself to see if it actually works?
And maybe it’s a combination of feelings depending on what you’re seeing. After all, the list of actions labeled as biohacks is long. Drinking your vegetables, to red light therapy, to cold plunges, to darkness retreats – and some of them might make more sense to you than others.
But have you considered ways that you can hack into your biology (that’s what a biohack is right?), through things that are unquestioned ways to make yourself feel better and that have been around forever?
Today we are going to chat about biohacks to gain some perspective on what we are seeing around us, and then we will review what we think are the biggest and most important ways that you can tap into making your mind and body feel better – and you won’t need to worry about if they are safe or if they will actually help. They unquestionably do!

37. Is Health and Fitness Truly Hard? with Kevin Driscoll
Welcome to Simple(ish) Fitness!
When you are looking to build a healthy lifestyle you can’t avoid all of the information you find online and from others saying “this is all you gotta do…” or “if you just do it this way it’s easy…”.
But the truth is that fitness and making changes to your lifestyle is a pretty challenging task, regardless of what those people say. Even this show tells you many ways to simplify fitness!
But we believe there is a difference between making something simple and making something easy.
Joining us for this conversation is personal trainer extraordinaire, and friend of the show, Kevin Driscoll. He is going to help us understand this concept of tackling fitness and understanding what is truly hard about it, and what we can do to make the process a little easier, even if the overall task is still a challenging one!
