Bonus: Healing Lessons from 2020 with Artist Nichole Rae

2020 was certainly a time, wasn't it? Along with the events and challenges we all shared globally, we also had our own personal high's and low's to work through. And while we are just starting to process all that went down last year, and we still don't have a lot of answers and solutions and a clear path forward, what we can do is stay in community with each other and find solace in relating to and learning from each other.

So with this special bonus episode, I bring on my dear friend and podcast regular Artist Nichole Rae for the third year in a row to recap our year, share what we've learned from what's been thrown our way, and offer some insights on moving into the new year with more positivity and intention.

Take a listen as we share:
    - Nichole’s journey with endometriosis and how it’s empowered her
    - some of my birth story and healing from an unplanned cesarean birth
    - dealing with things not going according to plan
    - life after trauma and leaning into who you are now
    - the power of staying present
    - holding space for joy and grief at the same time
    - and more

6.10 Lessons from a Pandemic Pregnancy

This pandemic has been weird and trying and unpredictable for everyone. We all have our own story of how it's changed our lives and shifted how we show up in the world. And for me, it's been happening amidst another huge life shift - pregnancy and becoming a parent for the first time.

But the silver lining of any season of difficulty is that there are also very valuable life lessons to be learned and implemented. So to close out this season of the podcast, I'm sharing with you the top 5 lessons I've learned from being pregnant during a global pandemic.

And since I know that only a small percentage of listeners are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant during this time, the lessons I'm sharing can be applied to any phase of life or circumstance you happen to be in. And if you are pregnant, you'll get an added layer of value from this one.

So take a listen as I share my insights on:
    - how to lovingly deal with an identity crisis
    - how to honor the grieving process
    - welcoming in new traditions and rituals
    - honoring your weird and quirky rhythms
    - how to celebrate your body, no matter the size and shape
    - how recovering people pleasers set healthy boundaries
    - staying present to the love and joy that you may be missing
    - the importance of staying in community, no matter what it ends up looking like

Inspiring

Love this podcast! There is massive value in every episode. Relatable, inspiring topics. So helpful!

A dude’s perspective

Randi speaks from a women’s perspective, but there’s still plenty here to benefit guys. Give it a couple episodes and listen to the ones that look interesting. Of course, this is coming from someone who’s more like the Dude or Mister Rogers than Arnold Schwarzenegger or Chuck Norris, so your mileage may vary.

One of my favorites :)

I started listening to Randi in March when the the pandemic hit. It was really helpful hearing her advice about how to take better care of myself, especially during times of stress. Months later I am still listening to her episodes! She makes self care simple (lol) and she seems like a very genuine person. She also introduced me to Courtney Carver and many other authors that I love. I am so grateful for this podcast! Thank you for providing us all with much needed self care content!
