Misophonia
09/02/2024
As someone with misophonia, I beg whoever edits the audio to please remove the saliva/smacking noise when the host pauses. I can’t focus on the words because the mic seems to pick it up every single time, and all my brain hears is the smacks! I’m a new listener and Chelsea is so well-spoken and I enjoy the discussion; unfortunately, I can’t focus because of the clicking saliva sounds and would love it to be somehow removed or dampened.
Great Perspective

As a female veteran I really appreciate your latest episode. I unfortunately resonated with her experiences in the military and the struggle for women in the service all around. While I did not come from a military family or background, I faced similar challenges during my time in service and the ongoing efforts that need to be made for women in the military safety and security both physically and financially. Great episode. Thanks again!
Meh

Used to be a favorite of mine but the “real people” interviews lately are usually a big miss. These guests need to be more heavily vetted before filming an entire episode. Good idea for these podcasts in theory, bad in execution. Also Chelsea, we get it, you had an untraditional wedding lol. I agree with Chelsea’s takes on weddings for the most part, but this seems to be a completely self congratulatory topic that she keeps bringing up for no good reason.
Mixed feelings
06/04/2024
In general i am a fan of TFD and especially this season of the podcast. That being said, Chelsea comes off as extremely pretentious and self congratulatory any time weddings come up. She’s a bit ignorant of how much labor costs, as well as the cultural significance of weddings. Especially considering the fact that she had a wedding and made some (IMO) silly and presumptuous requests of guests. Also the ads are so loud now :/
Victim Mentality
07/11/2024
I used to really like this podcast but lately feel like it really promotes a lack of accountability and a constant victim mindset. Also, Chelsea often puts words in her guests mouths - if you're going to have guests on, I’d like to hear their honest thoughts, not the host’s.
Used to be a fan, tired
07/06/2024
Used to love TFD and was happy when they moved to podcast format. But at some point, quit whining. It’s embarrassing to listen to someone who lives in the US complain about how nothing goes their way. Give me a break. I can’t listen to this anymore, it puts me in a sallow mood which is genuinely unhelpful for working on my life.
Please change ADs transition
03/26/2024
I’m not sure if this is a way to get people to start contributing to the podcast financially but what is happening with the terrible ad transition? I feel like this is a recent change but all of a sudden there is a MUCH LOUDER commercial in the middle of a sentence and it’s so jarring. It’s so bad, please fix it!
Talk about single woman finances

They matter and need to be discussed more
Set expectations low

If you’re trying to become financially savvy this is the wrong podcast for you. Lots of complaining and lack of accountability.
So far so good.

No complaints about the show. Unless I’m missing some episodes the show always seems like a cautionary tale for creatives who make the choice and take the risks to do creative work for a living. Like somehow that’s bad that we’re not financial wizards. Being being financially savvy can be learned but I really do think some people are naturally gifted at being great with numbers and finance and that part can’t be taught. Just like creativity you can teach skills but not that intangible spark that inspires creativity. I think it’s that spark that moves some people like myself to choose creative work over a job with a 401k. It would be helpful to have more financial strategies that are a little more relatable. Otherwise it’s an interesting podcast.
