Great podcast for addiction medicine
This podcast is so informative and entertaining. The two hosts have a great rapport, and a great contrast between seriousness, and a good sense of humor. I couldn’t recommended more highly.
Best podcast for professionals to learn addiction medicine
I’ve been involved in creating a number of podcasts in the medical education space and have listened to a lot of FOAM (free, open access meded) for learning and prepping for various exams. In terms of accessibility, “edutainment” value, understandability and practicality, this is by far one of the best medical education shows, especially for a “regular” physician like me: out of med school for 10 years and with little time to “study” topics I find interesting instead of those I *have* to study to keep up to date in my field (I’m an OB/GYN but also starting to practice addiction medicine). You’ll find the repartee and dynamic between the senescent Dr Devine and youthful Dr Bell amusing. The content is digestible, and I always walk away from an episode with something I can apply to my practice. This podcast is particularly appropriate for medical students (and other students in the health professions), practicing clinicians with an interest in addiction medicine, and people like me studying for the addiction medicine board exam. Looking forward to the Addiction Connection creating more content to help move the nascent addiction medicine specialty forward, increase the workforce, and ultimately help us all save lives and improve the health of our patients and their relationships with their families, selves, and their communities. It doesn’t matter your specialty, you should definitely listen to this show!
Be respectful
Dr Bell you definitely need a different speaker in your podcast if wanna be in top 50. This lady Dr (davine) is rude often times. Calls patient “chick” and interrupts other speakers during podcast. She needs to go. I like your podcast but honestly she’s the reason I stopped listening.
