Women’s Health Care: Dr. Felice Gersh Self-Diagnosed Her PCOS & Now Helps Others - Part 2
What does heart health have to do with women’s health care and reproductive health? How do endocrine disruptors impact the health of men and women? Is hormone therapy good or bad for us, and who should get it? Is fasting good or bad for us? Gynecologist Dr. Felice Gersh answers these and other questions about men’s and women’s health care in this enlightening chat with health seeker Adiel Gorel.

    Key Insights:
When she was in medical school she was advised birth control pills for irregular periods. She had to self-diagnose and found she had PCOS or polycystic ovarian syndrome. Dr. Gersh explains why the concept of “doctor’s orders” doesn’t apply, and why women’s healthcare professionals have to work together with patients to find the best, most modern solutions. Dr. Gersh reveals how we are surrounded by endocrine disruptors that negatively impact health, causing inflammation and consequent problems like gynecomastia, infertility, etc. Adipose tissue, or what’s commonly known as body fat, impacts a lot of hormone production in the body, appetite regulation, insulin resistance, and also promotes fat production and storage. Dr. Gersh speaks about periods of fasting, water fast, the fast mimicking diet, and about HRT and its connection with breast cancer and women’s health care. Author, Investment Expert and Wellness Advocate Adiel Gorel isn't just an expert in his chosen fields but also a storyteller who makes complex issues easily accessible. Tune in to his show where he addresses diverse issues with a single aim to improve quality of life.

Medicinal Mushroom Benefits & How It Helps Cancer & Dementia Patients – Robert Rogers & Adiel Gorel - Part 1

Medicinal Mushroom Benefits & How It Helps Cancer & Dementia Patient - Part 1
Robert Rogers trained as a botanist and is also an herbalist, who has been studying medicinal mushroom benefits and their therapeutic properties. He speaks to health seeker Adiel Gorel, and explains what the research says about various types of mushrooms, and their impact on overall health, cancer patients, and more.

    Key Insights:
When Robert Rogers used mushrooms like Reishi and Turkey Tail as therapy for cancer patients doing chemo or radiation, this helped keep people healthy through the regime. According to Rogers, medicinal mushroom benefits are well established, but there is no profit for big pharma here. He explains the concept of informed consent. Rogers speaks about the process of mushroom reproduction, the fruiting body, spores and other concepts, and also talks about the problems of over-cultivation and over-harvesting. Lion’s Mane mushrooms show promise in dealing with dementia and Alzheimer's. More research is needed and Rogers speaks about the difficulty getting funding for this. Mushrooms such as Shiitake, Maitake, Tibetan, Chaga, Birds’ Nest, and Phallus are medicinal. They are beneficial when eaten as food or in extract form. Author, Investment Expert and Wellness Advocate Adiel Gorel isn't just an expert in his chosen fields but also a storyteller who makes complex issues easily accessible. Tune in to his show where he addresses diverse issues with a single aim to improve quality of life.

Can Dementia Be Reversed? Yes, Says Dr. Kat Toups, & Explains How - Part 1 | In Conversation With Adiel Gorel

Can Dementia Be Reversed? Yes, Says Dr. Kat Toups, & Explains How - Part 1 | In Conversation With Adiel Gorel

Can Dementia Be Reversed? Yes, Says Dr. Kat Toups, & Explains How - Part 1
How to prevent dementia? We tend to think of cognitive decline as a natural and inevitable part of our lives and aging. Recent research shows that this need not be so. Functional medicine psychiatrist and researcher Dr. Kat Toups’ study shows that it is possible to prevent and even reverse dementia. Don’t miss her enlightening conversation with health seeker Adiel Gorel, as together they unravel the mysteries of a healthy body and mind.

    Key Insights:
Dr. Toups has been working with dementia and Alzheimer's patients. She explains why the brain deteriorates, and what we can do to prevent this from happening. Using a battery of tests, research was conducted on subjects with mild cognitive impairment. The hippocampus or memory center was seen to increase in size with Dr. Toups’ methods. Various modalities such as diet, time of eating, exercise and strength training, as well as computer apps were used. Actual physical changes were noted in the brains of patients. According to Dr. Toups the gut is the root of our immune system. Fixing basic nutrients and offering mitochondrial support can help the brain to work better, she says. In the research conducted by Dr. Toups and her team, 84% of study participants showed improvement, and some were even able to return to work after having discontinued work. Author, Investment Expert and Wellness Advocate Adiel Gorel isn't just an expert in his chosen fields but also a storyteller who makes complex issues easily accessible. Tune in to his show where he addresses diverse issues with a single aim to improve quality of life.
